When it comes to contemporary dinnerware there are as many opinions
as there are food service people. Dadisi says "white or off-white,
my food is pretty enough..." (We let him do the outdoor page).
Shelley's basic rules are the simpler, the better (and everyone should
have white). Solid colors are easier to work with just use the color
that compliments your food and decor.

| Look,
we know that when it comes to buying patterned dinnerware, you are
going to buy what you like. And, when it comes to plating and garnishing
we could devote
an entire website to it. So all we suggest is when selecting
patterned dinnerware keep in mind the types of foods you like to prepare.
Will that pattern of dinnerware compliment your food?

 If
you are looking for dinnerware you have to check out the selection at
Mikasa.com,
its phenomenal!!
Mikasa’s dedication to high
quality and exciting designs has been their trademark since the company was
founded.
Mikasa offers one of the largest selections of
contemporary dinnerware in the world.
At any one time, there may be as many as 500 patterns available. |

Mikasa’s
flatware patterns reflect the same style and sophistication found in their
other popular categories. A majority of
Mikasa patterns are considered to be 18 / 8, which means that 18%
chrome and 8% nickel have been added to the basic alloy. The high nickel
content gives the steel a warm, soft luster and the chromium adds strength
and resistance. |
| Now
that we've gotten through the dinnerware and flatware, let's talk
serveware. Ah yes, what would a cooking club site be if it never made
reference to serveware. So here's the skinny, nothing screams
catered (or staffed) event like metal serveware, so if its not a catered
event (or your not pretending its catered) stay away from it. You
can find really unique items without spending a fortune. |
